Frequently Asked Question

What are the limitations of CDR’s and how often are they provided by the providers?
Last Updated 6 years ago

  • Depending on the Carrier, the level of information contained within the CDR may differ from Carrier to Carrier.
  • Most traditional Fixed Line CDR’s are received and processed monthly. With some of the SIP CDR’s we can receive and process these CDR’s daily, but depends very much on the Carrier.
  • In terms of the Mobile Carriers, all of them with the exception of Vodacom send us CDR’s several times [typically 3 to 4 times] throughout the day. Vodacom send us CDR’s via an on-going trickle feed. We process all Vodacom CDR’s hourly and the other Carrier feeds three to four times per day.
  • PBX CDR’s are for the most part received and processed hourly.
  • Its important to note that delayed CDR’s, Roaming CDR’s and Open Session CDR’s will affect the effectiveness of alerts.
